Important Annoucement
2009 P-Town Classic

October 24 (Surf Event) is also the day chosen for Global Climate Change Awareness. I strongly support efforts to stem global warming. Our oceans are rising and its easy to see the damage already along our coastline. Please take a look at the infomation below on the 350 event going on at Linda Mar Beach. I would like to take a break in the surf contest so that we can partcipate. All you have to do is lay in the sand while an airplane takes a picture. Hope you can get behind it, sounds fun. Thanks, Norm

I'm going to ask for your involvement again - in a fun and very easy way. This is to do something to save our home, our planet, for our generation, the next generation and the seventh generation. Scientists say that 350 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere is the safe limit for humanity. We are at 387 parts per million right now. We (US, China, all countries) need to take action and we need to do it now. Saturday October 24th is International Day of Climate Action and people all over the world are standing up to call attention to the fact that our world with our emissions has exceeded the amount of Carbon in the Air that is safe for our climate and that we need to ACT NOW... in treaty's, policies, actions ... all over the world. Our poiticians, businesses, developers, citizens must wake up, look at the facts and make changes, demand changes to stop Global Warming.

Photo Op...Photo Op...Photo Op... Can you help? Come out to Linda Mar Beach at 11.00 am on Saturday, October 24th and help us stand up for climate change. We will spell 350 in the sand while a plane flies over to take our photo! Bring your friends, your family, your co-workers. We want 350 people (or more) right here at Linda Mar! Please join us, please help us.

2009 P-Town Classic News
October 14, 2009
Dear Participants,
I'm asking everyone to do me a favor. If you know any women or juniors that may have an interest in the event could you please ask them to give it a try. I would really like to add women and junior divisions to the event. I have had very few entries and need more. You don't have to do both events to enter. I have some nice awards and merchandise to give away to participants. So please if you know someone please persuade them to give it a try. Thank you very much. On another note, we will still have a team division for those that do one sport and partner up with someone doing the other sport. There are no age or sex divisions in the team event just one big division for everyone. We will have awards for : Surfing all divisions, Golf all divisions, Combined all divisions, Team (one division for all) There is no cost to enter the team division. I will assist with pairing people up at the surf contest. Lots of awards and cool merchandise to give away
hope you can make it. Take Care, Norm
